Medicine and dental technology
The translation of scientific papers, professional articles in journals and books, and operating manuals for medical equipment requires a particularly high level of competence and expertise. These texts require medical expertise in addition to traditional translation skills in order to translate them in a technically correct manner. Dental technology, on the other hand, involves all types of dental prostheses such as dental crowns, bridges, partial and full dentures and inlays, as well as orthodontic treatments such as splints for jaw fractures and mouth guards for certain sports. It is a real challenge and requires months of qualification to find specialist translators as reliable long-term partners for as many as 20 languages.
