Alignment – we recycle your words
Why allow time-honoured documents go to waste? They are good enough to be recycled and used for something new. This is exactly what we do every day with our customers' archive documents. Qualified documents such as brochures and operating instructions that are available in the source and target languages undergo an "alignment" process. In this process, the two language versions are matched sentence by sentence by a special program. The translator checks and confirms that the segments have been correctly mapped. Finally, the segment pairs are written to a translation memory, which is then used to translate new documents.
