For an international company, a localised Web presence is a basic requirement for successful positioning in the target markets. A professional website often serves as the first source of information for potential business partners. It often decides whether contact is desired or not.

Expert localisation of the website is therefore of utmost importance.

The efficient editing of HTML and XML files eliminates the need for tediously inserting the translations and reformatting the files. All websites, regardless of their complexity, should be based on a content management system, such as TYPO3, Wordpress, Joomla (our system), etc., to facilitate translation.

 

Localisation

Localisation is more than translation; the individual and cultural requirements need to be taken into account.
For example, the five most important features of a product may need to be in a different order in the target language, such as when the zoom function of a camera is more important than face recognition to a French customer and the size of the LCD display is more important than the quality of the lens to a Spanish customer.

Only the local product manager or the local sales department can make the respective decisions, which is why final proofreading by these persons is indispensable.

For this purpose, TTS provides a two-column Word table in which proofreading can be performed. The changes are then applied and the target language content is imported into the website's CMS.
