Legal texts

ParagraphLegal jargon, colloquially also called legalese, is the specialist language used in the legal sciences. In order to meet the enormous requirements of complexity and precision, it is necessary to have a specialist language with a formal system of rules that allow further statements to be derived from given statements. As a result, it often appears complicated or incomprehensible to the layperson and is particularly difficult in German law.

Contracts and terms and conditions

In general, documents such as employment contracts and terms and conditions, but also the conditions for e.g. participation in sweepstakes are translated across the entire business area. Risk assessments, audit reports, and "board statements" also belong to this field.

Sworn translations by sworn translators

Sworn translators are used to ensure an authoritative, faithful reproduction of the original documents. TTS's sworn technical translators are authorised by the court to certify the completeness and accuracy of translations.

This can be supplemented by an apostille, a form of certification for international document legalisation. It is used in cross-country legal transactions and confirms the authenticity of signatures and any seals or stamps affixed to the document.
