Terminology database
Customised terminology management ensures the consistency of translations
For translations, it is important that terms are always translated the same. This leads to consistency in the current text and future translations. Terminology management makes an important contribution to this. In close cooperation with you, we collect and structure your company's specific technical terms and use them to create a terminology database.
In the course of terminology management, we identify, among other things, your company- and industry-specific technical terms, acronyms and abbreviations, as well as prohibited terms, and define rules for how they are to be used in the translation process.
At the time, everyone knew the terms electrolytic capacitor, shielding plate and connector strip from this Nokia car phone from 1991 (pre-cellular). SOP, QFP or even flip chip and BGA did not yet exist. Today, there is no way around databases for uniform assignment of terms.
